LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Several street closures have been announced in advance of Louisville's Veterans Day Parade on Friday.
The parade happens from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Main Street from Third to Sixth Streets in downtown Louisville.
The following streets will be closed during the parade:
- West Main Street from Second to Third Streets at 9 a.m.
- West Main Street from Third to Fourth Streets at 10 a.m.
- West Main Street from Fourth to Sixth Streets at 10:30 a.m.
- Third Street from south of the garage entrances to Market Street at 9 a.m.
In addition, Fifth Street will go two ways at 10:30 a.m. to allow access to the Humana and PNC garages.
Fourth Street will remain open from Market to Main Street, and traffic will be able to access the Galt House from River Road.
All parking meters will be bagged on both sides of Sixth Street from Main to Market Street and on both sides of Main Street from Eighth to Ninth Street, but the streets will not be closed.
