Louisville man snared by FBI takeover of child porn site

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Federal prosecutors say a Louisville man was caught with child porn when the FBI took over a secret website that helped its users post and view illicit material.

Adrian Grisanti, 41, is also accused of trying to destroy evidence as the FBI investigated.

In February 2015, the FBI took over a website with a network of users who used "hidden network services" to exchange child porn, according to a release from prosecutors.

Grisanti is charged with knowing receipt of child pornography, possession with intent to view child pornography, possession of a computer containing child pornography and destruction of evidence in a federal investigation.

Grisanti was formerly a volunteer with the Boy Scouts, a spokesman for the organization said, but had not been involved in many years.

The case is being prosecuted by the United States Attorney's Office in the Southern District of Indiana.
