LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The Christmas countdown has begun and what better way to get into the holiday spirit than by celebrating at the Galt House.

Luminaries, displays, fairies and elves can all be found under one roof. This year's theme is 12 Days of Christmas.

"Your ticket includes Kaleidoscope 12 Days of Christmas, which is a brand new, interactive, re-imagined display with 200 luminaries," Galt House spokeswoman Amanda Lambert said Friday. "It ranges from sizes two feet to 21 feet. Your ticket also includes the Holly Jolly Elf Show dance by elves hand-selected by Santa himself."

Saturday, the Galt House's Snow Fairy Princess looks to help Louisville break a Guinness World Record.

"We want to set a world record for having the most fairies here and I will actually be performing that day so we have a special ballet number choreographed as they count," Princess Cornelia said. "I really hope we break this record."

To break the record, they need at least 872 people dressed in tutus, wands and wings.

The family-friendly event starts at 10 a.m. in the Grand Ballroom on Saturday. The official count will take place at 11:15 a.m.
