LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville woman is charged with a felony for allegedly having a baby out in the cold without proper clothing.

Police were called to a home on Caravan Way at 4:20 a.m. on Tuesday.

A woman who lives there complained that Kandice Talbott, 24, was at her house asking for drugs with an infant. The woman said she did not know Talbott.

This was the second run officers made to the area in response to a complaint about Talbott, according to the arrest report.

Police found Talbott walking around outside in 30 degree weather with a three to four-month-old baby. The infant was wearing a onesie and a thin jacket, the report stated.

The officers determined Talbott had been outside with the child for 30-40 minutes, putting the child at risk for serious injury or death.

Police also said Talbott was under the influence of alcohol and possibly other unknown substances.

Kandice Talbott was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment.

The baby was returned to its father.
