Mannequin challenge shows dramatic heroin overdose scene

GRANT COUNTY, KY (WAVE) - Mannequin challenge videos have become quite popular online, depicting various scenes of life frozen in time.
What started out as fun and games for the latest social media craze has turned into a way to raise awareness about serious social issues.
A Williamstown, KY man and the Grant County Sheriff's Office saw the mannequin challenge as a way to give people an up close look at what happens when someone overdoses on heroin.

Thomas Worthington and his 12-year-old son, Aydan teamed up with deputies and paramedics to create The Worst Outcome Mannequin Challenge, according to WLEX. They produced a five minute video that chronicles a scene of several people overdosing inside a mobile home.
The video includes curious neighbors, distraught children and emergency workers.
Since being posted on Youtube on November 19, the video has been viewed more than 47,000 times.
