LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The city of Louisville has officially kicked off its holiday celebration.
Friday was the 36th annual Light Up Louisville event which kicks off the month-long Holiday in the City.
The highlight of the event was the lighting of the Christmas tree at fourth and Jefferson streets.
Dave Moisan, a recent NBC's "The Voice" contestant was the honorary grand marshal and headlined the entertainment Friday night.
"It's a great time to be in Louisville. Light up a tree, see all the kids, pass out candy." said Eric Bow, Mainsource Business Development Manager.
Holiday in the City will continue until December 23rd.
