Local radio stations raise more than $800 thousand for Norton Children's Hospital

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Alpha Media, Louisville has raised more than $800 thousand in support of Norton Children's hospital.
On November 17th and 18th, WXMA, WDJX, WGZB, WMJM, and WGHL broadcasted live from Norton Children hospital's lobby for 13-hours straight each day.

The stations raised more than $890,000 during Alpha Media, Louisville's 8th annual radiothon.
The cause was personal for B 96.5's afternoon drive personality, Tropikana who's son Boogie has battled his fair share of health issues.

"It's a blessing that the stations were able to come together and jump behind not only Boogie being a survivor, but us being able to tell his story to help somebody else," said Tropikana. "There's no bigger or better feeling or blessing that I can imagine that would compare to being able to have a miracle kid that is going to be able to be a blessing for another sick kid."
