LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A man who was assaulted Nov. 21 and died from his injuries 10 days later has been classified Louisville's 109th homicide victim of 2016.
The city's record for single-year homicides is 110, set in 1971.
The victim was identified as 65-year-old David Bray, a transient. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office said Bray died of complications from abdominal injuries he suffered during the assault, so his death was ruled a homicide.
Louisville Metro Police said officers found Bray after they were dispatched to the intersection of Algonquin and Rodman Street Nov. 21 on a report of an assault. Bray was taken to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment. He died there Dec. 1.
Police have no suspects and they've made no arrests in this case.
