Louisville business owner helping TN fire victims

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville business owner is helping victims of the Gatlinburg fires.

Neal Dawson just returned from Tennessee yesterday. He dropped off a big donation at the Salvation Army, and he's taking more supplies down this Saturday.

"We need shovels, rakes, wheelbarrow, garbage bags, trash cans, brooms and we would love to get some Christmas trees about 2 feet or 3 feet so they can put in their motel room and have some sort of normalcy," he said.

Dawson would also like to take some Christmas decorations and toys for kids.

Donations can be dropped off Thursday from 9 to 3 at the Jeffersontown Fire Department at 10530 Watterson Trail, or Friday from 9 to 3 at the Jeffersontown Community Center at 10617 Taylorsville Road.
