LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Louisville-based Texas Roadhouse is stepping up to help victims of the Gatlinburg wildfires.
Texas Roadhouse is donating 10% of Monday night's sales to the Dollywood Foundation's "My People Fund."
More than 100 restaurants across 15 states took part in the fundraiser.
The Texas Roadhouse location in Gatlinburg was damaged in the wildfires. Employees have been pitching in to help their Roadhouse family.
"So each employee at the end of the night has been giving you know $5 or $10 here and there just to raise money to help our fellow family in Gatlinburg," said Katelynn Kepley, Texas Roadhouse Service Coordinator. "You know redo their store, help employees that have lost family or lost their house or anything like that."
The "My People Fund" was established by Dolly Parton, who grew up near Gatlinburg. It promises to give one-thousand dollars a month to families who were left homeless.
