LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The soundtrack of Thunder over Louisville has been set.
On Thursday morning, Thunder officials ran their first soundcheck for this year's "A Disco Thunder" show. The fireworks will blast off to the tunes of hits from the 1970s.
"It's a groovy soundtrack, featuring artists from the Bee Gees and Diana Ross to Gloria Gaynor and Barry White," Mike Berry, Derby Festival President and CEO, said. "It's one of the best soundtracks we've had for the show. It will have everyone ready to boogie on the Waterfront Saturday night!"
Logan Lavelle Hunt is the Official Sound Sponsor for Thunder Over Louisville. The sponsorship is expected to offset the cost of sound towers and the feed throughout the Thunder venue. Towers are located at the Belvedere, Thunder Chow Wagon, North Great Lawn, South Great Lawn, and Big Four Bridge Lawn and will allow fans to enjoy the air show narration, announcements and the soundtrack. On the Southern Indiana side, the Festival will provide a sound feed to Rocky's and Buckhead's.
"We want to ensure that everyone hears this year's unique soundtrack on both sides of the river," Trent Hunt, Partner at Logan Lavelle Hunt, said. "We're thrilled to be the Official Sound Sponsor and can't wait to see and hear the show on Saturday."
