A-10 Demonstration Team visits Children’s Hospital

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Young patients at Norton Children's Hospital were lit up Friday morning. They received a visit from the United States Air Force A-10 Demonstration team.

The team is participating in the Air Show as part of the Kentucky Derby Festival's Thunder Over Louisville.

The men and women in uniform brought stickers and videos of aircraft for the children, who unfortunately won't get to be a part of the festivities on Saturday.

"We can bring a piece of the show to them," Derek Allen, the superintendent of the A-10 Demonstration Team said. "We can show them that we're here. We care about you. We can make your day a little bit better."
