LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A semi overturned on I-65 South in downtown Louisville, near hospital curve, blocking two lanes of traffic for several hours.

The wreck happened around 6:45 p.m. just before the entrance ramp for Muhammad Ali Blvd. traffic, MetroSafe confirmed.

The driver of the semi was able to get out of the cab, emergency crews said. He was taken to University Hospital to be checked out.

Officials confirmed no other cars were hit in the crash.

All lanes reopened just before 9:30 p.m.
