LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Get your corn dogs, funnel cakes, and other festival food at the Waterfront.
A Derby Festival favorite, the Chow Wagon, kicked off at noon on Thursday as part of the Kroger Fest-a-Ville.
The Fest-a-Ville runs for nine days and ends May 4, the night of Oaks.
On Thursday only, admission is free to everyone, with or without a Pegasus Pin. Starting Friday, admission is free with a Pegasus Pin.
This year, the Kroger Fest-a-Ville includes the LXC Chow Wagon Kickball and Flag Football showdowns, and the Louisville Zombie Walk will host another new event, the Derby of the Dead. The festival also includes plenty of live music. The Pegasus Play-Ville will have free rides for kids 12 and under from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily.
The Chow Wagon Beer Garden will offer $2 Miller Lite from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. every weekday.
