LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Louisville Metro police officers will be equipped with a new adorable tool.

Cuddle Clones CEO Brennen Lawrence said 150 stuffed dogs and cats were donated to LMPD Wednesday. Each stuffed animal is unique, and each division will receive the animals.

LMPD Major Jamey Schwab said the Cuddle Clones will help officers restore some order and stability to a scene in a time of need.

"So often times we deal with just horrible and tragic situations involving children and when you look at these pets they're very lifelike, they're very friendly, they're very warm and inviting, so I think it's going to be just a tremendous resource for the officers," he said.

Cuddle Clones is a Louisville company. They will continue to work with LMPD to supply the stuffed animals.
