Today’s Woman

Today's Woman

Bo Richie is on the cover of this month's Today's Family. Bo likes working out with his mom, playing baseball, basketball and participating in gymnastics. He hopes to one day play in the major leagues.

Miranda Popp, of Today's Woman, shows WAVE Country how to make a school cone. A school cone is a cone filled with various school items like new shoes, a piece of clothing, school supplies, etc. The cones are given to children the night before the first day of school.

Neighborhood Place Back to School Festivals

It's almost time to go back to school for many kids across WAVE Country but there's still a lot to look forward to. Stop by one of the many back to school festivals happening in the next two weeks.

Neighborhood Place, along with many community partners, are putting on these events that will provide free school supplies (while they last) as well as many different services and resources to get kids and their families ready for the school year.

The bulk of the supplies and funding for these events comes from local businesses, churches, schools and individual donors. If you want to learn more about specific activities, eligibility and other requirements click here.
