School Sports and Concussions

With fall sports practices starting Dr. Tad Seifert, Director of Norton Healthcare's Sports Concussion Program, joins to talk about concussions. He's a concussion expert that's traveled to assist NFL teams.

Some signs you might be experiencing a concussion include headache, neck pain, balance problems, dizziness, double or fuzzy vision, nausea or vomiting, hearing problems or ringing in ears, confusion, drowsiness, feeling sluggish, concentration or memory problems.

Hannah James

Hannah James is a WAVE Country native. Her short story, Remember Me Yesterday, was published in the Spring of 2017, and her debut collections of poetry, Whiskey on Vinyl and Arrows on Monsters hit the shelves in the Spring of 2018.

Her short story, Remember Me Yesterday, tells the story of a man's battle with Alzheimer's disease and the toll it takes on his family. The short story won 1st place in the Indiana University Southeast 2018 Writing Competition in the fiction category.

Her poetry books, Whiskey on Vinyl and Arrows on Monsters, are made up of many separate poems, but together express the journey of self-understanding and growth. Whiskey on Vinyl, her first poetry book, focuses on self-love and understanding your truth worth in and out of relationships. Arrows on Monsters focuses on mental health, addiction, and recovery.

When Hannah James isn't writing, you can find her drinking white mochas, hanging out with her Great Dane, and collecting records.
