Moms, do you ever feel stressed out and overworked? GIT Moms (Get It Together, Mom) is a full service parent coaching and advice company, helping moms get it together.

Eirene Heidelberger knows firsthand the struggles of raising children. As a mother to 3 young boys, she understands the feeling of needing to do it all. GIT Moms teaches mothers about sleep training, potty training, how to get children to respect and listen to you, etc.

GIT Mom is unique in that it focuses on the mom, rather than the kids. Eirene's program teaches moms how to parent more efficiently to allow for more "me" time and to do things that they like to do.

Commonly referred to as "paralysis of the stomach," gastroparesis is a gastric motility disorder in which the function of the stomach is impaired. Symptoms include debilitating pain, nausea and vomiting, and other complications. There is no cure, so physicians work to help patients manage symptoms.

Common treatments for gastroparesis symptoms include changes in diet, taking medications to improve receptors in the stomach, and surgery. The Jewish Hospital GI Motility Clinic offers the Medtronic Enterra Therapy System. Enterra is a device implant that works by emitting mild electrical pulses to stimulate the stomach. It's an option for patients who have tried other treatments to manage gastroparesis, but haven't experienced improvement.

The goal of Gastroparesis Awareness Month is to encourage more research, additional treatment options, better support and hope for gastroparesis patients. People suffering from gastroparesis can learn more about how to cope at the Kentucky Rare Action Network for the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) information table, which will be set up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, August 10 at Jewish Hospital, located at 200 Abraham Flexner Way in Louisville.
