The "55 Speeders" group at Westport Road Church of Christ, 4500 Westport Road, 40207, are pleased to offer to the entire metro area an interactive presentation, discussion and networking that will discuss Stroke, Carotid Disease and Alzheimer's.

This program is open to the community. The informative program will include two guest speakers along with handouts:

  • Mr. Steve Sellers, BBL RVT, RVS, who will present information about screening tests. Participants will be able to acquaint themselves with actual test procedures they might experience with the viewing of videotapes.
  • Mrs. Teresa M. Browning, MSN, FNP, ARNP, will present a brief discussion of Alzheimer's disease and Carotid disease as it relates to stroke prevention. Additional information will be provided on Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm and peripheral vascular disease.

This will be an opportunity to access a wealth of knowledge on several topics that affect many older adults, find answers to your questions and develop a vascular health network. The target audience is age 45 and older. There will be an opportunity for blood pressure checks and brief Carotid artery screenings, as time permits.

Please RSVP to the Church Office, (502) 893-0342, 8:00a-5:00p, or after-hours to Martha Miller, (502) 225-0059, so that sufficient handout materials may be prepared for everyone. You are invited to come with your friends.

Please join us for the presentation and continue in the Fellowship Hall after the program for discussion and networking with coffee, tea and dessert.
