Iraq war demonstrations in Washington

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WAVE) -March 20 marks eight years since the start of the Iraq war. The group Veterans for Peace organized a demonstration in the nation's capitol. About 200 demonstrators came out to protest the ongoing conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, strikes in Pakistan, as well as the proposed military action against Libya. Protesters complained that the country is spending billions of dollars on military campaigns while reducing domestic spending programs.
