FRANKFORT, KY (AP) - Democratic Gov. Steve Beshear's campaign has released names of more Republicans who are supporting his re-election effort, including Owensboro Mayor Ron Payne.
Payne said in a statement on Friday that Beshear has done "a tremendous amount" to help Owensboro.
In all over the past week, the Beshear camp has released names of more than 120 Republicans who are supporting his re-election campaign.
Beshear faces two challengers in the Nov. 8 general election, Republican David Williams, the longtime state Senate president, and independent Gatewood Galbraith, a lawyer from Lexington.
