Men charged in ID theft ring

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Two men have been arrested by Metro police who they say stole the identities and personal information from victims across the country.

According to police, 18-year-old Steven Probst, Junior and 51-year-old Roger Davis tried to buy nearly $2,000 worth of merchandise from the Target in the West Buechel area using stolen credit cards.

Police say when they searched Davis' home, they found a laptop and ledgers with the identities and person information of hundreds of victims.

Both are charged with trafficking in stolen identities.
