LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Republican gubernatorial candidate David Williams and his running mate Richie Farmer are hitting the road this week with their "Real Plan for Real Jobs" bus tour.

They kicked it off Monday morning at the GOP headquarters in Louisville. Williams and Farmer are facing off against current Governor Steve Beshear and former Louisville mayor Jerry Abramson in the November election.

Williams says this two day tour will give people a chance to ask questions about his jobs plan. It's one he says will actual fix the state's unemployment and economic problems.

"To do away with the personal and corporate income tax, to fix our unemployment insurance situation, to take care of the terrible regulatory system that we have in the state. Real things that can happen that will have an impact on the creation of jobs," explains Williams.

The tour made stops in Oldham and Kenton County Monday. It continues in Western Kentucky Tuesday.
