LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Authorities have identified a person hit Wednesday night on the Indiana side of the Clark Memorial Bridge as a 38-year-old Louisville man.

According to Jeffersonville Police Det. Todd Hollis, Michael Amick was walking south from Jeffersonville to Louisville on the east side of the bridge when a bicyclist heading northbound on the sidewalk hit him. The collision with the bicycle knocked Amick into the curbside driving lane where he was hit by a car.

Amick was taken to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment. He was listed in serious condition Thursday morning.

Hollis said an investigation into the accident is still ongoing. The results of the investigation will be forwarded to the Clark County Prosecutors Office for review once the investigation is complete.
