Blessings in a Backpack receives donation from Louisville hotel

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The holiday season may be over, but the season of giving is not.
Friday, the Galt House Hotel presented Blessings in a Backpack with more than $7,000 to help children in need.
The charity group received the check at a time when there is a huge demand for help to feed children in our community.
The $7,700 donation from Christmas at the Galt House will go to a program at Portland Elementary School and will feed the 100 children in the program for an entire year.
