Funeral held for Republic Bank founder

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Loved ones gathered Sunday to say goodbye to a prominent Louisville business man and philanthropist.
Bernard Trager, the chairman and founder of Republic Bank, passed away on Friday.
His funeral was held at the Temple on U.S. Highway 42.
Trager was a member of the Louisville Male High School Hall of Fame and recipient of many awards for his business life and for giving back.
He was 83-years-old.
