Metro man facing kidnapping charges after forcing woman from car

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Louisville Metro Police have arrested an 18-year-old man on kidnapping and sex abuse charges after an assault on a woman which they say was stopped by witnesses.

According to an arrest report, a woman was pulled from her car into a black Pontiac and sexually abused by several men. Two people who witnessed the incident opened the car door and demanded the men let the woman go.

The victim was able to give police the license plate of the car and officers later stopped the vehicle. A man matching the description given by the woman was found inside the car and arrested.

Early Sunday, Metro police charged 18-year-old James A. Hiekman III in the case. He was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections.
