Residents manage to escape apartment fire

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Two people managed to escape a fire in their second floor apartment after one of them knocked over a space heater.
The fire happened just after 10 a.m. Sunday near 26th Street in the Portland neighborhood.
Firefighters were on the scene in four minutes and took control of the flames. Minor structure damange was left inside but no one was injured.
A few homes and businesses were without power as LG&E restored electricity.
