LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Louisville Metro Police are searching an apartment complex for a suspect in a shooting at a local Kroger store. As a result, JCPS students who live in the area will get home late from school.

The grocery stock manager of the Kroger on New Cut Road near 3rd Street Road was shot on the parking lot early Friday morning, according to Metro Police. He was trying to stop three people who left the store without paying for a shopping cart full of groceries, according to investigators. The manager's injuries are not considered life-threatening.
