Police: 2-year-old drowned in pool

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A 2-year-old child has died after drowning in an inground pool.
Officers were called around 8:30 p.m. Sunday to the 3000 block of Wellingmoor Avenue near Goldsmith Lane after a family member found the boy unresponsive in the family swimming pool.
The child was transported to Kosair Children's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Louisville Metro Homicide Unit is investigating the case as a death investigation.
