LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Ashley Judd's
grandmother is shooting down talk that the actress might run as a U.S. Senate
candidate from Kentucky in 2014.
Polly Judd said she doesn't think
there is any chance that Ashley will run as a Democratic challenger to Senate
Minority Leader Mitch McConnell when he is up for reelection.
The actress's 85-year-old grandmother,
who is a political activist in Ashland, KY and the mother of country singer
Naomi Judd, was complementary of McConnell, saying he has done more for her
hometown than anyone else.
Ashley Judd hasn't ruled out a
potential Senate run. Earlier in November, she said she was honored to have
been mentioned as a possible candidate.
