One injured in Parkland apartment fire

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – One person was injured after a fire broke out in an apartment in the Parkland neighborhood.

According to MetroSafe, the fire started around 5:07 p.m. Thursday to the fire in the 2800 block of Greenwood Avenue.

MetroSafe confirmed 35 firefighters from the Louisville Fire Department were dispatched to the scene and called control of the fire shortly after 5:30 p.m.

All of the residents in the apartment were accounted for. MetroSafe said the person who was injured was taken to University of Louisville Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
