Apartment catches fire in New Albany

NEW ALBANY, IN (WAVE) – Crews are on the scene of an apartment fire in New Albany.

According to New Albany Fire Dispatch the fire started around 9 p.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of East Oak Street, near the intersection of Silver Street and Slate Run Road.

When crews arrived on the scene they found at least one building was on fire and showed signs of smoke damage.

According the News and Tribune, it took firefighters 45 minutes to put out the fire.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire has not been determined at this time.
