LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Eighteen apartments were evacuated Wednesday morning in Okolona after a large ice-covered tree broke apart and crashed through the ceilings of several units.

The incident happened at Guardian Court Apartments at 6100 Guardian Court. No injuries were reported.

The tree broke through the ceiling inside three apartments. Emergency crews evacuated all 18 apartments after power to the building was turned off during the clean-up process. The American Red Cross was on the scene helping displaced residents.
