Woman arrested on arson charge after fire in her apartment

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville woman has been charged after investigators say she tried set fire to her apartment.
Sylvia A Collins, 51, was arrested Sept. 19 for the fire that happened early on the morning of July 12 in a sixth floor apartment at 1600 Garland Ave. Metro Arson Bureau investigators said there was heavy fire damage to a living room couch.

Her arrest report says Collins was seen leaving the apartment before the fire and no one else entered until firefighters arrived.
Collins was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections on one count of arson.
