1 hurt after truck hits apartment building

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A resident of an apartment near Fern Creek was slightly injured after a vehicle hit the building.

According to MetroSafe, the incident was reported in the 8400 block of Emrich Avenue, just past Hurstbourne Parkway, around 8:15 a.m.

Louisville Metro police said a driver got out of his truck at a bank across Bardstown Road in the Piccadilly Square Shopping Center to use the ATM and left the truck in neutral. The truck rolled across Bardstown Road, went down a hill and struck the exterior wall of the apartment building.

The building suffered some damage to an area around one window. A resident of the apartment was hurt by items knocked over in the impact.
