4 charged after meth raid at apartment where children live





CORYDON, IN (WAVE) - Four people from Harrison County were arrested after troopers found a methamphetamine lab in a home where children live, according to a news release from Indiana State Police.
Troopers from the ISP Meth Suppression Section joined officers from the Harrison County Probation Department conducting a home visit at an apartment in the 1300 block of Regina Lane in Corydon on May 28. During their investigation, troopers obtained a search warrant for the residence. They found a meth lab, drug paraphernalia and precursors to manufacture meth, the release states. The Harrison County Department of Child Services assisted when it was discovered that children were also living there.

Hillary M. Perez, 30, and Tonya J. Caves, 38, both of whom live at the apartment, were arrested along with Jessica D. Garcia, 32, of Corydon and Anthony D. Young, 29, of Central Indiana.
Perez was arrested on a warrant for a probation violation for theft. She faces new charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of paraphernalia, and neglect of a dependent.
Caves was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court on check deception, dealing in methamphetamine, and failure to return to detention. She faces new charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance, and possession of paraphernalia.
Garcia was arrested on a warrant for a probation violation for possession of more than 10 grams of a drug precursor and maintaining a common nuisance. She faces new charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance, and possession of paraphernalia.
Young was arrested on a warrant for possession of precursors by a convicted meth offender. He faces new charges of resisting arrest, manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of paraphernalia, and neglect of a dependent.
