Police arrest suspect in armed robberies


LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A man has been arrested for committing two armed robberies on the same day.
Michael Cain, 34, was taken into custody at 6:25 p.m. Aug. 25 at 4th and Jefferson by Louisville Metro police.

Arrest reports say Cain was responsible for the robbery of the Subway at 412 S. Hancock around 5:15 p.m. and the Bader's Food Mart at 1st and Jefferson In each robbery, Cain indicated he was armed with a gun and demanded the cash.
Cain was arrested after a LMPD officer saw a person that matched the description of the Bader's robbery. When the officer approached Cain to question him, Cain started to flee but the officer was able to get hold of him and take him to the ground.
Cain was booked at Louisville Metro Corrections on two counts of robbery and one count of resisting arrest. At his arraignment, bond was set at $50,000 cash and a new court date was scheduled for Sept. 4.
