Police shut down South Park Road at Minor Lane to investigate body found in box

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Police shut down traffic for a time on Wednesday near the site of a body found Tuesday in Fairdale.
A detective told a WAVE 3 News photojournalist on Thursday morning that he would be closing traffic at South Park Road and Minor Lane while a secondary search of the scene was conducted. The closure was expected to last about 30 minutes.
People riding ATVs discovered the body inside a box in the 3000 block of South Park Road about 5 p.m. Tuesday. The person's gender, age and manner of death are not yet known.
The case is being treated as a death investigation. Anyone with information about the case should call the anonymous police tip line at 502-574-LMPD (5673).
