Victim identified in Sunday night homicide in Louisville
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The victim in a downtown Louisville homicide that happened Sunday night has been identified by the Jefferson County deputy coroner.
The deadly shooting happened in the 900 block of Esquire Alley in downtown Louisville near the Russell neighborhood, according to Louisville Metro Police Department spokesperson Alicia Smiley.
Esquire Alley runs beside the City View Apartments.
The shooting victim has been identified as Alec Pettiway, 21, who died at UofL hospital from “multiple gunshot wounds” after being found by officers around 10 p.m.
The Esquire Alley shooting was one of three deadly shootings to happen in Louisville in one night.
