WACO, Texas (KWTX/Gray News) - A Texas woman isn’t just celebrating a coveted seat to Sunday’s Green Bay Packers-Dallas Cowboys wild-card playoff game, she’s also celebrating an engagement after her boyfriend popped the question.

Victoria Regan says she was shocked when she came back from getting concessions at AT&T Stadium in Arlington to find her boyfriend, Ty Jay, ready to declare his love for her in the most unforgettable way, KWTX reports.

“We traveled here in 18 degree weather to rep our boys,” Regan said. “I had come from getting a pretzel from the concession stand, and he got down on one knee and held the ring out and asked the most important question you could ever ask. Of course, I said, ‘Yes!’”

Jay knew he wanted to do something memorable for the engagement, and since the lovebirds share a common passion for the Cowboys, a playoff game seemed fitting.

“We bonded over the Cowboys, so I felt the game would be the perfect place,” Jay said.

What about the moments leading up to the big question?

“I was so nervous, my knees were shaking,” Jay said.

Unfortunately for the couple, their beloved Cowboys didn’t add any joy to the proposal. They lost to the Packers 48-32 in their first home loss since the 2022 opener, according to the Associated Press.

Regan and Jay met through a mutual friend and have been together for about a year and a half.

While it’s early, the couple already have plans in the works to get married next year.
