OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT/Gray News) - Snowy conditions have caused havoc on Nebraska roads this week, leading to several serious crashes.

A 60-year-old woman was killed in a crash on West Dodge Road amid those snowy conditions Monday morning.

Omaha police said the woman died in the crash just before 9:30 a.m.

A 60-year-old man and a 10-year-old boy were also injured in the crash and were taken to a hospital.

Investigators said the man was driving a 1996 Chevy K-1500 pickup when it spun out, went off the road and hit a guardrail.

Police said the force of the collision pushed the truck onto its side and partially ejected the woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities had the road closed for their on-scene investigation. They did not immediately identify those involved in the crash.

Additionally, a Nebraska State trooper was also killed while responding to a crash during Monday’s snowstorm.
