Man charged in deadly Dixie Highway shooting

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Louisville Police announced an arrest Monday night in connection to a deadly shooting on Dixie Highway early Sunday morning.

Jack Elliott, 48, was arrested Monday, May 5 and charged with murder for the shooting death of 44-year-old Isaiah White on May 4. White was found shot to death in a car that had crashed into a building on Dixie Highway just before 3 a.m.

Surveillance video of the scene showed a suspect and a vehicle registered to Elliott following White to the parking lot where he would be found dead. LMPD detectives found four spent shell casings in that parking lot.

According to the arrest report, Elliott “provided specific details of the events leading up to the shooting” while he was being read his Miranda rights.

Elliott is charged with murder and will be in court Tuesday, May 6.
