LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Here are five stories WAVE Country will be talking about today:

1. Heat ahead: Rain and storms will continue this morning but give way to a hot and humid day. WAVE 3 News Storm Tracking Team Meteorologist Christie Dutton has the extended forecast through the weekend.

2. Doctor sentenced: A Louisville doctor convicted of sexually abusing his patients will be sentenced today. Dr. Ghias Ararat was found guilty on six counts of sexual abuse in April.

3. Humana takeover: The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Aetna has made an offer to take over health insurer Humana. Four other companies are also involved in possible deals.

4. Sex offender killed: The man who was found dead at a rest stop on I-65 on Saturday was a registered sex offender.

5. Roof's manifesto: The FBI found a hate-filled manifesto on a website registered to Dylan Roof, the man accused of killing nine people in a South Carolina church last week. The website includes pictures of Roof standing on and burning American flags.
