Woman killed in Shelby Park shooting identified
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The name of a woman who was shot and killed in the Shelby Park neighborhood has been released.
Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Rita Taylor said Jennifer Cain, 42, died of multiple gunshot wounds in the 1100 block of S. Shelby Street at 6:20 p.m. on May 13.
Cain was one of two shooting victims discovered inside of the home. A man who was also shot was hospitalized at University of Louisville Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said they believe one of the two victims was the shooter, Louisville Metro Police Department spokesman Dwight Mitchell said. The relationship between the two is unclear, but a neighbor told investigators they had been living at that location for no more than two months.
This LMPD Homicide Unit is continuing to investigate the case.
Funeral arrangements for Cain are pending.
