Man shot in drive-by outside apartment complex off Poplar Level Road
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Police believe a man was shot during a drive-by outside an apartment complex off Poplar Level Road Friday night.
It happened just before 8 p.m. in the 4200 block of Norene Lane. That's near Poplar Level Road between East Indian Trail and Fern Valley Road.
The Louisville Metro Police Department says their initial investigation and witness statements point to a green SUV driving in an alley behind the complex. Witnesses say someone in the vehicle fired multiple rounds out the window.
A man in his early 20s was hit multiple times in his "upper extremities," according to LMPD. Emergency crews rushed the victim to the hospital.
Police report the man is in serious condition.
Officers say the suspect's vehicle has not been recovered, and no arrests have been made.
