PopCon brings stars to Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - PopCon is back in Louisville this weekend.
The three-day convention covers all things pop culture and lets fans meet some of their favorite actors and voice actors from shows and video games alike.
Stars of Star Trek, Luke Cage, Border Lands, The Walking Dead, Grand Theft Auto V, Phineas and Ferb, Fullmetal Alchemist, Demon Slayer, One Piece, Dragon Ball, Stranger Things and more took over the Kentucky International Convention Center.
However, it wasn’t just the celebrities that are bringing fans out for the convention, there was plenty of other things to do as well.
“If you’ve never experienced an escape room, this is a great place to do it,” Carl Doninger, one of PopCon’s co-founders, said. “We’ve got a guy that comes in with a great new room every year, so there’s an escape room. We’ve got video gaming. There’s tons of gaming tournaments, casual play. It doesn’t matter. Have fun. There’s just so much to do. Around every corner, you’ve got something new to do.”
In addition to the stars, there were also tons of cosplayers walking around the convention hall as well.
