2 families displaced, 6 firefighters injured in Nelson County fire

FAIRFIELD, Ky. (WAVE) - Two families were displaced after a fire in a Nelson County apartment building.

Fire crews responded to a fire at the old Henry McKenna Distillery in Fairfield just before 1 p.m. The blaze was under control around 4 p.m.

During the efforts, a roof collapsed on five firefighters. A sixth was injured trying to help. All firefighters have sense been released from the hospital with what Northeast Nelson County Fire Chief Ted Shields said were minor injuries.
