LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The University of Louisville’s libraries were evacuated after receiving a bomb threat Monday afternoon.
According to UofL spokesperson John Karman, a number of universities across the country received the exact same threat at the exact same time that generically mentioned the library.
Karman said the university evacuated the libraries “out of an abundance of caution.”
Officials swept through the libraries, and at 3:54 p.m., a spokesperson said they gave the all clear.
Murray State University, located in southwestern Kentucky, also received a bomb threat to campus libraries, which they believe is likely a hoax.
