Shooting victim found on Roy Wilkins Ave. dies at hospital

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The Jefferson County coroner's office said the man found shot on Roy Wilkins Avenue died at the hospital Saturday.
Pernell Lester, 30, of Louisville died of a gunshot wound to the head, the coroner said.

Detectives believe the shooting happened at 11th Street and Fish Court around 11:30 a.m. Friday. Lester and another person were found inside a car in the 300 block of Roy Wilkins Ave.
Lester died at University of Louisville Hospital around 11 a.m. Saturday.
Homicide detectives are investigating the case.
